The VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL, Corretores de Seguros, S.A., with registered office at Avenida Duque D'Ávila, 116 B, 1050-084 Lisboa, holder of corporate person identification card no. 500 938 326, registered with the Lisboa Commercial Registry Office under number 54586, with a share capital of €119,620.00, an Insurance Intermediary registered with ASF — Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority, in the category of Insurance Broker, under number 607155051, granted on 27 January 2007, authorised to carry out insurance intermediation activities in the Life and Non-Life classes and as a Reinsurance Intermediary under number 815421316, which can be verified and confirmed at www.asf.com.pt, hereby informs that:
a) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL does not hold any qualifying holding in Insurance Undertakings.
b) No Insurance Undertaking, or parent company of an Insurance Undertaking, holds any qualifying holding in the share capital of VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL.
c) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL is authorised to receive premiums for onward delivery to Insurance Undertakings.
d) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL's involvement in the process includes providing assistance throughout the term of the Insurance Contract.
e) In relation to the Insurance Contract, VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL is remunerated in one of the following ways: I. Commissions, as part of the insurance premium; or, II. In agreed cases, through direct payment by the Client as fees or on the basis of another type of remuneration. III. The Client will be informed of the type of remuneration associated with the Insurance Contract.
f) The Client has the right to request information from VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL about the amount of remuneration it receives for providing the distribution service.
g) Unless otherwise agreed, the Client is not required to make any payments under the Insurance Contract after its conclusion, other than regular premiums and scheduled payments.
h) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL has a Data Processing Policy for Policyholders, Insured Parties, Beneficiaries and Injured Third Parties, which guarantees the fair treatment of data subjects, as well as the processing of their personal data and complaints. This Policy is set out in a written document, available for consultation at our premises and/or online at www.verspieren.pt.
i) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL has established a Complaints Management Officer function for Policyholders, Insured Parties, Beneficiaries and Injured Third Parties, managing receipt and ensuring a response, without prejudice to the processing and assessment of complaints being carried out by the relevant organisational units. j) The ASF is the competent authority for analysing and issuing opinions on requests for information and complaints submitted by Clients against insurance distributors, without prejudice to the initiation of administrative offence proceedings whenever justified by their severity or recurrence.
k) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL is not a member of any alternative dispute resolution entity.
l) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL will inform the Client of the name(s) of the Insurance Undertaking(s) and Insurance Intermediary involved in the Insurance Contract.
m) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL acts on behalf of the Client.
n) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL provides advice based on a fair and personal analysis, through the analysis of a sufficiently large and diverse number of Insurers and types of Insurance Contracts available on the market, enabling it to recommend the Insurance Contract best suited to the Client's needs — type of Client, information provided by them, and the complexity of the recommended Insurance Contract — stating the reasons underlying the advice given.
o) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL is not obliged to carry out insurance distribution activity exclusively for any Insurance Undertaking.
p) VERSPIEREN PORTUGAL works with the majority of Insurers on the market, taking into account the requirements and needs presented.
